Jim is at it again!

No, not heresy this time, nor has he called me Beelzebub or such like.
And no, not some twitch of Zwinglianity or Bultmanianism either. Nor a rant about sermon books or homeschooling!

In fact, the Jim West Fan Club (the JWFC)is herby reconvened to celebrate the Doctor’s generosity once again and sing the club anthem.

This time he has kindly sent me a copy of Gerd Theißen’s new volume: Erleben und Verhalten der ersten Christen: Eine Psychologie des Urchristentums which I joyfully picked up from the Zollamt today!

Many, many thanks again, Jim. This exciting work will prove very useful for my own doctoral work!

The cover art for that text kicks some serious butt.

I disavow any knowledge of any charitable act and denounce any rumor monger who says such dasterdly things of me. Further, all posts mocking Zwingli even in the slightest earn their author 500 years in purgatory. Under the armpit of the evil one himself. And yes. I mean him. Wright.

Er, "is herby reconvened?" I think you were so startled by Jim's act of kindness, your computer stuttered. :-)

No, Michael, he actually meant "herby"- it's one of his demon friends and he reconvened the demon board so as to evaluate the alleged act and decide how to proceed.

Hi John, its about the experience and behaviour of the early Christians; it is a psycholgy of early christianity. Theißen has published in this field before.

And Jim, don't deny it. It was a charitable act.
