Rendering the Word in Theological Hermeneutics

is a book I really, really want. But it flippin costs £50 for just 214 pages! The ebook version is even more expensive (approaching £70!). Ashgate, seriously?!

It's Ashgate, are you really surprised? As a publisher they seem determined that no book will ever enter into private hands.

You could always ask to review it on your blog, Chris. Works for me!

Casper, I hear you. Such a pity, though

Anon, thanks ... erm, need to wrestle with conscience here. And I will probably loose!

Terry, I would, but I already have too many review books to wade through.

Mohr Siebeck are just as ridiculous at absurdly overpricing their books. It's a pity because they publish a great number of very interesting works, which I would happily buy for $30 each. But at the ridiculous price of $130 per book that they charge I have only ever bought one.
