Colloquium
As Phil Sumpter explains, he is on his way down here to Tübingen for a colloquium, at which I will present a paper on 1 Corinthians 8 and inerrancy. Unfortunately, my neck went into a terribly painful spasm a couple of days ago, which literally stopped my typing or preparing for the lecture. Thankfully the pain is subsiding now, which means I'm back to the high calling of hacking at certain modern 'inerrancy' formulations such as the Disaster in Chicago Statement. I still can't believe the ETS adopted it.

I'm on my way too, and I'm very much looking forward to the Colloquium. But first I'll have to give 4 lectures tomorrow...
Get well soon,
Volker
Hi Volker,
Looking forward to seeing you!
Unfortunately, my neck went into a terribly painful spasm a couple of days ago.
Yes, Mr Tillinch, that is a clear sign of psyckosomatische disorder. Your body takes care of your psychic problems. Next time try prozac.
I'm sorry that my comments a few days ago made your body to crack. Hope you get better soon.
Hi there,
I don't know whether you remeber me. I've written a rather lengthy comment on your Piper-Wright-entry. Just wanted to ask if it's possible to get a copy of the paper you are giving at that Colloquim (AfeT-Doktoranden- und Habilitandenkolloquium?). As someone who happily rejects Inerrancy (thanks to reading e.g. Schlatter, Hempelmann, Marshall, and Riesner) while maintainig great respect for some inerrantist scholars who hold to a very nuanced understanding of Inerrancy (e.g. Blomberg, Fee, Keener, Wallace and Baum), I very much enjoyed reading your Inerrancy series (even though I did have some questions here and there). I think it would be great to be able to read you paper.
As to your other blog on prayers, try something by Martin Luther or Dietrich Bonhoeffer. And do you know the Evangelisches Tagzeitenbuch? I've got an old edition (the 3rd, 1979) and I like it a lot sice I've begun to discover the beatuy of liturgical prayers.
Gottes Segen für den Nacken und das Colloquium! Werde dafür beten!
Gerschi
TJ, whenever I get an e-mail from you, Iknow it will be mean! It's funny - but mean!
Hi Gerschi, thanks for your comment.
"Gottes Segen für den Nacken und das Colloquium! Werde dafür beten!"
Herzlichen Dank!
As for a copy of my paper, just e-mail me and I'll send you a copy. Of course, don't pass it on to anyone else - and you are welcome to have a read, and give me critical feedback.
All the best!
Chris
No, no, no.
This is clearly the Angel of the Lord smiting you with an affliction. He's coming to get you, Tilling, and he's clearly very angry.
No question about it.
Nelson, that is also mean. I'll break into your flat here in Tübingen and vandalise it, if your not careful.
