i dont know if the Lord is trying to tell me something but in addition to your post on Bultmann/Osteen (brilliant) i have also been reading Hauerwas' Unleashing the Scriptures, and John Wright's Telling God's Story, this week, both of which draw similar lines between fundamentalist and liberal uses of scripture. and they both made me laugh with equal delight.
That sentence made you laugh because it is to sentences what Jackson Pollock is to art- senseless goop.
I'm quite fond of Jackson Pollock.
I'm with Phil, I love Jackson Pollock! And I've heard great things about Hart,too.

Speaking of Hart, does anyone know what the story is with his "The Christian Revolution"? Supposedly it was published in 2/07 by the Yale University Press, but amazon.com says it is out of stock, and the YUP web site doesn't mention it.
